THIS CAR IS NOW SOLD!
The XK Championship winning 1954 Jaguar XK120 SE Competition Roadster of 2003 and 2004
This car was manufactured on 1st February 1954 and left Browns Lane on 16th February 1954 destined for the American market. In 1997 the car was repatriated to the UK and underwent a ‘nut and bolt’ restoration and conversion to right-hand drive. The car was primarily built to XK Class D specification and was campaigned by its owner Charles Fripp and then sold to and raced by Graeme Dodd in 2003.
The car underwent further upgrades and a re-paint and its racing pedigree was firmly established having won the XK Championship in 2003 and 2004.
Andy Dee-Crowne bought the car in the summer of 2009 and has modified this XK in order to take part in ‘historic touring’ events, including the 2009 Tour Brittania where it came 2nd in class and outright winner of the ‘Concours de Elegance’.
The car is eligible to enter a great number of events including the Jaguar Enthusiast’s Club XK Challenge Championship, Powered by Jaguar and HSCC Road Sports Championship events among others. Currently taxed and MOT’d and with its V5, this beautiful XK120 would also make a serious contender in any of the Tour type events.
